With Parama Pujya Sri Swamiji's blessings, Datta Yoga Center Dallas Chapter successfully setup two Food stalls as part of a fund raising effort for the organization at Diwali Mela on Sat, Nov 10th. With the hard work and team spirit of a large group of dedicated volunteers - both adults and children the stalls were very well received and there was a constant steady flow of people at the stalls from 3PM in the afternoon to 11PM in the night.

We were very fortunate to have raised funds close to around $2657 from selling food items and around $381 from sale of Books & CD's at our stalls. We even made the Sunday Dallas Morning News Paper where they had a photo of our volunteers cooking Mysore Bajji. The following were the Food Items that were cooked completely at the Stalls starting from morning 11AM:
1)Mysore Bonda 2)Cut Mirchi 3)Poori Kurma 4)Veg Biryani 5)Toasted Veg Sandwitch 6)Masala Chai 7)Aloo Bonda

Cut Mirchi and Masala Chai were the crowd favorites and were sold out by 8PM in the evening. We had the opportunity to pass on flyers and talk about the proposed Marakata Hanuman Temple in Frisco to all visitors to the booth. There were a lot of volunteers who sponsored items for cooking and lot of volunteers worked very hard at the stalls to make this event a very successful one and may Sri Swamiji bless them all for their efforts. We would like to thank everybody who came and supported us at our stalls by buying our delicious food.
